Refugees

Today we also went to visit a refugee camp.

The people in this camp are refugees from Sri Lanka.  Many have been in India for 18 years now.  The camp is very clean and is quite big, there was hardly any litter on the ground which we found quite surprising as there is litter everywhere else.  Some of the refugees go to Hepzibah Church.  The Sri Lankan people in this camp are a tight community, no refugee would marry an Indian person, they would only marry another Sri Lankan.

Tomorrow we are at church in the morning and then in the afternoon we head for the mountains :) we are looking forward to that as it’ll remind us of Scotland :)

    Hey you two.

The Refugee camp is amazing there are more and more stone houses being built rather than the shacks. Is this a sign that they wont return to Sri Lanka even though they all believe they will at some point?

The young folk at the youth cafe enjoyed reading the blog. Keep up the posting, its great to see you both in the pictures.

Have a great time at church tomorrow. Hope your talk goes well Adam, thinking of you.

Tell Sister Ruth we miss her cooking and the doggie bags she used to give us. yummy

    Love to you both

    :o )

You guys don’t worry about speaking in the church tomorrow, God will provide you with the words. Just ask !! I’ll be asking for you too.
Give our regards to everyone down there and enjoy your trip to the mountains.

Great to see the post from Dundigal. I remember visiting this site. As for your speaking in church. it says in the bible that God will fill your month with good things to say all you have to do is open it. We’ll be praying for you both.

Hey Adam and Rae! How are you guys getting on?! I couldn’t believe it when Lilias told me that Adam had decided to pop over to India with Rae! Im jealous! Sounds like your having a good time – it can be pretty heavy when your in the middle of everything though.

We See Lights are in the studio these weekend part II of the album recordings – good fun but can be a tedious!

Anyway hope you guys are doing well – the blog is great. Send my best wishes to everyone in India!

Hi from sunny Scotland, NOT!!! I know that when you read this you will probably have been up tp Munar and back. I really do hope you managed to do the boat ride, which is brill you’ll agree. Did you see the wild elephants at the side of the lake? Anyway that part of the trip for me was the best, Dindigul was so different but similar in some ways to Chennai.

Pass on our regards to Brother Abraham, Sister Ruth, Benjamin, Danny and Rose. Say hi to Raj and Capt when you next see him. Adam hope Raj doesn’t snore, ha ha. How was the Parsons?

    Hear from you both soon

    Proud of you Adam
