The wrong way round

November 13th, 2008 by italker

Re-locating the flowers in the sanctuary is not rocket science, however when its left up to a man to do the relocation, you better be prepared for anything. JS our flower arranger had gone to a lot of trouble to pick the right flowers for Remembrance Sunday. She placed them on the font in church as usual.

When I arrived on Sunday morning I needed to put a cross on the font. So the beadle for the month helpfully re-located the flowers to the other side of the church. Only this time instead of the front view we had the rear view.

I felt sorry for JS on Monday morning as she recalled the tale of woe. All I could think was at every turn everyone was trying to do their best. It go me thinking sometimes in life things just don’t turn out the way we want even when we are all doing our best. ( Doesn’t that last phrase not sound like a linne from the narrator in ‘Desperate Housewives’ ) Now who says i don’t watch the soaps?

But who got the front view if the congregation had the behind view? I wonder…

Good point Helmut. At the end of the day everything was for the glory of God.

The other day I found websites that sell, wait for it. upside down Christmas trees. Got me thinking that maybe folks who have got the meaning off Christmas all wrong could buy one of these trees.
