Sanctuary First – beauty in holiness

November 9th, 2009 by italker

Yesterday was a wonderfully cold crisp winter’s day. The shades of light and the colours of the day were so beautiful. it was like walking through a water coloured world.

Last night we had our Sanctuary First Service. It’s always a struggle to get everything in place. The wonderful thing was it worked really well last night and people found the experience to be uplifting, challenging and meaningful. The Sanctuary First theme for the month of November is “An Extravagant Generosity”

God reaches out to all of us with his extravagant mercy and forgiveness. The result is that we in turn are now invited to to be extravagant in our generosity to others. So that’s my thought for the day living out an extravangant generosity towards those I meet today. Look I know I’m going to fall flat on my face now that I’ve declared my intention but you know what if I keep thinking these God thoughts something must change around me.
